Fall and Winter Activities (2008)

Rally Day - Sunday, September 14th after the morning worship. This day is to kick off our year of programming and activities with fun activities for all ages.

Crop Walk - Neighbors walking together on the first Sunday in October (5th) to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting.

Fish Fry - Some of the men of Pennfield Presbyterian Church have been 'sacrificing' their time catching fish in our local lakes for this second annual Family Fish Fry on Saturday, October 18, at 5:00 pm. If you’ve never sampled Darrell VanVleet’s fresh fish fry, you won’t want to miss this great meal to include cole slaw, tater tots, rolls, and dessert. Please sign up on the poster in the narthex if you would like to bring a dessert. Entertainment will be provided, and a free will offering will be accepted.

Truck or Treat - After the success of this event last year, we are planning to again offer Trunk or Treat as part of our Wednesday Play and Pray program. It will be on October 29th with a bonfire and hot dogs. This is a chance to dress up as your favorite character and decorate your car, truck, or horse trailer (yes, horse trailer) to delight the children of the church and their friends and neighbors. Participants should plan to furnish candy or other trinkets or treats to 30+ children as we will be inviting members of our community to join us for this fun and funny activity. A sign-up poster is available in the narthex if you would like to volunteer to decorate your vehicle for everyone’s delight.
